Local Volunteer Groups

Our warm and enthusiastic volunteer teams have created groups in several locations in Granada province. They are always looking for more inspirational people, so look out for a local group in your area and get involved with our fundraising activities.

Local volunteer groups are a vital part of Acompalia’s activity. They form the nucleus of our activities in towns and villages in Granada Province. They hold local fund-raising events and they spread the word about Acompalia’s services in their communities. Additionally, they are in touch with local mayors and councillors who can provide valuable civic support and encouragement for their activities. We already have an extremely successful group in Castell del Ferro, and are in the process of forming new groups in Lanjarón – where we have our first Acompalia shop – and in Salobrena and Almuñecar. Just click on one of the fields on this page to get connected with a group near you.

You are a link to greater success

Castell de Ferro

We are a cheerful and optimistic group with a strong focus on our goal – raising funds for Acompalia. We welcome anybody who would like to join us and to bring new, innovative ideas.

In 2014 the combination of income from our events and donations raised a total of 3,600€ for Acompalia.
And in 2015 we raised another 6,863€!

Salobreña

We are team of people from various backgrounds who like to think‘‘out of the box“ when creating fundraising ideas. We have a great relationship with the Salobreña town council which directly supports some of our events.

Lanjarón

On the 20th Feb 2016 Acompalia opened its complementary medicine centre and its first charity shop in Lanjarón. This provides a base for the wonderful group of volunteers from Alpujarra region.

Jaén – Sierra Grande – Fuensanta de Martos

This volunteer group has proven that you don’t always need to be based on the Costa Tropical to hold fund-raising events and spread the word about Acompalia’s services.

Share the campaign!

It’s so important to tell everyone in our region about Acompalia’s palliative care services and why they matter.

Please share this information with individuals and organisations in your own network. People you know could help us raise awareness or donations, and connect us with volunteers.

As you share our message, you help ensure that Acompalia’s support is there for terminally ill patients and their families when they need it most.

Thank you.
